And as simple a procedure that is, I was always surprised while touring for Microsoft that many people didn’t realize it could be done.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;With Outlook 2007, it’s even easier. Better yet, it’s more customizable than ever before.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;How? Just click the flag button next to the email in the Reading Pane. Bingo. The email is now a task that is due today&lt;br/&gt; For further control, give the flag button a right-click. You’ll now see options that let you govern the due date for the task/email. You can also set the “quick click” setting here, which is useful if you want to make the default click create a task that’s due this week, for example, rather than today.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Oh, and if you delete the task? No worries; you’ve just deleted the reference to the email, not the email itself. You’ll still be able to retrieve the email should the need arise.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Let me know if you have any questions/feedback about this tip.</description>
